Odyssey teams can practice their spontaneous problem-solving skills in a tournament-like setting. During the 90-minute session, each team will solve two problem types and be paired with another team to observe the other students tackling two more problems. Judges and participants will provide feedback on solution approach, time management, communication, teamwork, and more.
To participate, teams must register online, provide a volunteer judge, and pay a $40 fee.

2. All grades are welcome to participate. The workshop organizers will pair teams according to their school grade and tournament experience. Therefore, teams will choose a morning or an afternoon period. The coaches will receive an email with the specific session time and other details approximately two weeks before the event. (If your team has specific time constraints, please include that information when registering.)
3. Volunteer judges do not need previous judging experience. They will attend an online, 30-minute introductory session on either Tuesday, January 23, or Thursday, January 25, at 7:30 PM to learn the basics. Then, they will serve as a judge for a 2-hour period on Saturday, January 27, during the same time slot as their team, although they will not be in the same room and judging different teams. Volunteer judges are welcome to register for two sessions and apply the experience gained during the first session.
